A.S. Degree In Nursing (ASN) – Orlando

Orlando Medical Institute (OMI) has been approved by the Board of Nursing to provide an Associates Degree in Nursing.

OMI’s Nursing Program is fully accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). Nursing is a growing field with an ever-widening scope of practice. Nursing Program Schedule Schedule

Orlando Medical Institute has three types of schedules to choose from:

Schedule Type I

Traditional and Bridge Program is an Orange County C shift friendly program. This traditional program is four {4) semesters long and the bridge program is three semesters long, each semester is sixteen weeks. The program hours are from 9:00 am- 6:00 pm. Paramedics and LPN are the only students eligible for the bridge program.

Schedule Type II

Traditional and Bridge Program is an Orange County B shift friendly program. This traditional program is four {4) semesters long and the bridge program is three semesters long, each semester is sixteen weeks. The program hours are from 9:00 am- 6:00 pm. Paramedics and LPN are the only students eligible for the bridge program.

Schedule Type III

Traditional and Bridge Program is an three evenings during the week (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays) and Saturdays program. This traditional program is four {4) semesters long and the bridge program is three semesters long, each semester is sixteen weeks. The program evening hours are from 6:00 pm- 10:00 pm and Saturdays 9:00am – 6:00pm. Paramedics and LPN are the only students eligible for the bridge program.

Requirements

  • Driver’s License or State Issued I.D. Card
  • Social Security Card
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Current AHA Healthcare Provider (CPR) Card
  • Completion of all Admission Requirements
  • Criminal Background Check
  • Current Physical w/ TB Test & Results
  • Proof of MMR & Varicella Vaccination with Titers
  • 10 Panel Drug Screening

Registration

Registration fee will be due upon application completion. This fee is $150.00, which will secure your seat in the class. This fee is also to be deducted from the total cost of the program.

Registration Deadline

The deadline to register for any of the RN classes will be two weeks from the start date of the course. All of your admission requirements should be turned in, and your initial deposit should be made by this deadline.

There is a mandatory orientation class prior to course start date!
