My name is Samantha Arroyo and I am the Clinical Coordinator at Orlando Medical Institute. I have dedicated more than 17 years to Emergency Medical Services, serving as an EMT since 2009 and as a paramedic for the past seven years. I began my career in EMS education in New York in 2010, and I have been passionate about teaching and mentoring future EMS professionals ever since.
Emergency medicine has always been more than a career for meāit’s a family tradition. My father and sister are both paramedics, and growing up in a family dedicated to serving others instilled in me a deep respect for the profession and a lifelong commitment to patient care and education.
I currently serve as the Clinical Coordinator and Instructor Coordinator at Orlando Medical Institute, where I oversee clinical education, support instructor development, and help prepare students for successful careers in emergency medical services.

My name is Julie Arroyo, and I am the EMT Program Manager at Orlando Medical Institute.
As a second-generation paramedic, EMS has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up in a family dedicated to emergency medical services inspired me to follow in those footsteps and build a career serving others.
For nearly 15 years, I have had the privilege of working in EMS as an EMT, Paramedic, educator, and leader. I began my career with the Fire Department of New York, serving the communities of the Bronx, where I gained invaluable experience caring for patients in one of the busiest 911 systems in the country. Those years taught me the importance of clinical excellence, compassion, teamwork, and remaining calm under pressureāprinciples that continue to guide my approach to education today.
At Orlando Medical Institute, I am passionate about preparing the next generation of EMS professionals.

My name is Hector Arroyo, and I am the Lead Educator at Orlando Medical Institute.
I am a veteran of FDNY/EMS, where I served for 31½ years as an EMT, Paramedic, EMS Academy Instructor, and ultimately as a Lieutenant in the Bronx. I also served during the World Trade Center response on September 11, 2001.
Since joining Orlando Medical Institute in 2018, I have enjoyed teaching both EMT and Paramedic students. My passion comes from educating future healthcare professionals and watching my students become exceptionally caring, knowledgeable, and confident providers.
