Emergency medicine has always been more than a career for me—it’s a family tradition. My father and sister are both paramedics, and growing up in a family dedicated to serving others instilled in me a deep respect for the profession and a lifelong commitment to patient care and education.
I currently serve as the Clinical Coordinator and Instructor Coordinator at Orlando Medical Institute, where I oversee clinical education, support instructor development, and help prepare students for successful careers in emergency medical services.

Julie Arroyo
Julie ArroyoEMT Program Manager

My name is Julie Arroyo, and I am the EMT Program Manager at Orlando Medical Institute.
As a second-generation paramedic, EMS has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up in a family dedicated to emergency medical services inspired me to follow in those footsteps and build a career serving others.
For nearly 15 years, I have had the privilege of working in EMS as an EMT, Paramedic, educator, and leader. I began my career with the Fire Department of New York, serving the communities of the Bronx, where I gained invaluable experience caring for patients in one of the busiest 911 systems in the country. Those years taught me the importance of clinical excellence, compassion, teamwork, and remaining calm under pressure—principles that continue to guide my approach to education today.
At Orlando Medical Institute, I am passionate about preparing the next generation of EMS professionals.
